A bit of sad news for all you Motorola fans who were expecting to grab hold of the new Motorola RAZR, the Motorola RAZR3 Ruby, it’s not going to happen.

Yes, the Motorola RAZR3 Ruby that was talked about back in September had bitten the dust; Motorola has pulled the plug and cancelled the production.

The reason, well at a guess, as the Motorola RAZR3 Ruby was on Symbian UIQ and since Motorola’s shift and reorganisation of its mobile department is now dropping Symbian in favour of Android, into the mobile bin goes the RAZR3 Ruby.

So if you are a RAZR fan I guess you better start looking for another handset if you were thinking of upgrading to the Ruby.

French manufacturer of tailor-made mobile phones such as the Christian Dior, ModeLabs Group has announced the availability of the MTV 3.4 “Non-Stop MTV” which is a new mobile phone designed with the younger generation in mind.

The MTV 3.4 “Non-Stop MTV” offers a set of features aiming to bring youngsters closer to the popular TV channel MTV, and include exclusive ring tones, one click access to MTV channels, wallpapers, 2 MTV games Dirty Sanchez and Urban Attack, and MTV musical playlists.

Spec wise the MTV 3.4 “Non-Stop MTV” features a 2 megapixel camera, MP3 player, 3G connectivity; RSS feed reader, video conferencing and microSD slot. The MTV 3.4 “Non-Stop MTV” is available in France from SFR with a cost of €29 as part of an SFR pack.

If you are a Bruce Lee fan you’ll remember the coolest version of the Nokia N96 that had tiny nunchucks, you know, the Nokia N96 Bruce Lee edition.

Well Nokia has made a viral video to promote the Nokia N96 Bruce Lee edition which is well worth a look just to see the master of martial arts doing his thing.

And doing his thing in this video is lighting matches with his nunchucks, which when you watch the video is kind of awesome to say the least. He lights a match that’s being held in a guy’s mouth, which is kind of brave to have nunchucks swinging that close.

Impressed with the successful tests of mobile phone signal jamming technology used at a South Carolina prison, officials are now working on implementing mobile phone jamming in Texas.

Jerry Madden, Chairman of the House Corrections Committee, said: “It would take a change in federal law to allow jamming such as this, but I would hope there could be some action to change the law sooner rather than later.”

The proposed date for the mobile phone jamming technology to be tried out in Travis County state jail in Austin Texas is the 18th of December.

The issue of mobile phones in prisons was highlighted after Richard Lee Tabler, a condemned double murderer made calls via a mobile phone from his death row cell to Senator John Whitmire last month.

Samsung it getting ready to release a new music orientated low end clamshell form factor handset, the Samsung M3110, a stylised mobile handset designed for mass production that will carry a price tag of about $180.00.

Spec wise the Samsung M3100 offers up and external and internal display, a 1.3 megapixel camera, and a 3.5mm audio headphones jack, there is also a possibility the Samsung M3100 may include Bluetooth.

Four colours are offered on the Samsung M3100 which are green, purple, lemon-orange, and blue, and that’s about all we know at the moment. Not sure if it’s headed for the US or even Europe, but we’ll keep an eye on this one and let you know.

For many, Black Friday was a bit of a washout for retailers and shoppers. Retailers had hoped that Back Friday 2008 would help to kick start their sales figures, but it seems that this did not happen. Many shoppers love to grab hold of a great bargain, but do not like the idea of standing out in all weather’s to get that deal. Black Friday 2008 was one of the worst ever, as more and more shoppers decided to stay at home so they did not have to face the cold, instead they chose to stay in the comfort of their own home and see if they could pick up some deals online, and have been waiting for Cyber Monday to come, when the online deals really kick in.

According to I4U, PayPal noticed that online transactions were up 34 percent, and online payments were up by 26 percent over Black Friday 2007. This is showing that the current trend of shopping online is not slowing down, but is increasing.

Looking at these figures, it shows that Cyber Monday 2008 could be the best yet. Shoppers now wait in anticipation, as to what deals will be available from online stores.
